Delta Scientific Vehicle Loop Detectors are recommended with all delta and most other vehicle access control systems because they are programmed to prevent a closing signal when power resumes. The NP Series Digital Loop Detectors are directly interchangeable with most other brands as a plug-in replacement. The loop detectors provide customers with a safety detector that can prevent accidents which occur when power outages cause vehicle access control systems to reset their logic.

Delta Scientific 3546-3NP is a digital vehicle loop detector that is configured to not generate a pulse when initial power up or power resumption occurs. It can avoid unexpected gate operations (raising or lowering of gate arms, sliding gate operation, motorised teeth and barricade actuation). It is recommended for use with Delta's vehicle access control equipment. It is a direct replacement of Delta 3546-3 model where power resumption safety is desired.

DSX DSX-400DM duress module is designed to provide a duress alarm for users of keypad systems. The module monitors the data 1 and 0 lines from a Wiegand output keypad waiting for the asterisk key hit. When the module sees the asterisk, the modules output pulls low to activate an input on the DSX panel that would be defined as “Keypad Panic”.

The DSX-2PC (Two Port Controller) is where each serial port from the Primary Comm Server and the corresponding one from the Backup Comm Server connect. The output of the 2PC then goes to a direct connect DSX controller or to a dial-up modem. This board physically switches the circuits from one to the other. Each 2PC module can switch 2 serial port. The 2PC has a +12VDC input and 2 trigger inputs that connect to the SPST module. Each port on the 2PC can be triggered independently.

The DSX-SPST (Serial Port Switch Trigger) board is the power distribution and Backup Comm Server monitoring board. It receives +15VDC (Class II Power Limited) from the DSX-1040PDM board and distributes it to the 2PC boards through 4 - 12VDC, 1A fused outputs. The SPST board has an RS-232 port that connects to an extra port on the Backup Comm Server. This is the port which sends the “activate” command. The SPST also has 4 relay outputs that are used to “trigger” the 2PC boards when the “activate” command is received.
