The design of Integrated Engineering’s SmartID™ readers reflects a movement towards the design and material requirements of modern architecture. SmartID™ provides contemporary designs in two shades of stainless steel, together with an easy way to manage the accessibility of critical places, people, goods and information, both for today and the future. Offering a full product portfolio including SmartID™ ISO 14443 (up to level 4) readers:Mifare® serial number reader Mifare® read/write sector reader (optional 12 key pin pad) DESFire® reader (Common Access Card compliant) T=CL readerOther Smart ID™ standards include Hitag and EM4102.All readers are available with interfaces for the following output protocols: ISO 7811 (ABA / Clock & Data) and Wiegand, and seamlessly integrate with standard U.S. and European junction boxes. In addition, the SmartTOUCH™ model combines smart card and biometric technology assuring both information and physical security. This simple-to-use ‘dual authentication’ solution is achieved through the combination of a Mifare® and a fingerprint reader. SmartTOUCH™ is uniquely programmed using a secured enrolment card instead of a PC.

The ACD contactless operates as an autonomous access control system in conjunction with a commercially available door lock. Access control rights can easily be changed using the associated programming card set. The door lock continues to operate mechanically in the usual way. The external handle is freewheeling and will not engage until an authorised ID card has been read. The door release time can be set at 3, 8, 12 or 20 seconds. Power is supplied by 3 miniature cells.

Keyscan has designed the CIM-Link, a TCP/IP companion module, which incorporates multiple CIM CAN Bus communication loops into a single global infrastructure. This promotes even greater global communication flexibility. Keyscan’s CIM-Link module extends CAN Bus based ACU to ACU communication via a common LAN/WAN network. This maximizes system design options by expanding ACU to ACU functionality to multiple independent CAN Bus global networks utilizing common LAN/WAN (TCP/IP) infrastructure.
