AASA, The School Superintendents Association, has formed a new partnership with Armor At Hand™, a company that manufacturers Smart Shields™ connected to the internet and are capable of protecting users from handguns and high-powered rifles. The Shields serve as a first layer of protection in the event of an intrusion and serve as an alarm to alert those connected to the system a potential threat is occurring.
Armor At Hand manufactures the world’s first lightweight, mobile Smart Shields with internet connectivity and U.S. National Institute of Justice (NIJ) level 3 equivalent test rating, giving it the ability to stop high-powered rifle rounds.
