The in-house locking system pylocx is exactly what Knurr/Emerson had been looking for |
Ideal conditions
For the Lock Your World managing director, Manuela Engel-Dahan, this challenge was made for the in-house locking system "pylocx":
"Pylocx is exactly what Knürr / Emerson had been looking for: A locking system, easy to install - even in retro fitting; a system that is used intuitively and that provides maximum security. So, in the future, the fuel cells will be locked with pylocx. The optional online-function gives customers of Knürr / Emerson the possibility of a transparent lock-management. Programming, openings or audit-readouts can be done by remote. But also with the offline-version it is possible to change assignments, to define time slots or to generate one-time codes. The PIN-protected transponder is configurable via its USB-port. pylocx stands for a locking system aligning with the customer's requests and not vice versa."
Environment-friendly security
pylocx gives Knurr/Emerson the possibility to continue the thought of environmental protection that is behind the idea of fuel cell |
In addition to these benefits, pylocx gives Knürr / Emerson the possibility to continue the thought of environmental protection that is behind the idea of a fuel cell:
pylocx locking devices don't need a battery. If there is no external power supply, the energy for the lock derives from the transponder. To open it, the magnetic transponder has just to be hold against the contact point of the lock that is - of course - protected against vandalism. The data-exchange between lock and transponder is initiated and the opening-permission is checked.
"Two things can be omitted: First the purchase of batteries and the costs for dispose them." says Manuela Engel-Dahan. "Secondly, it is no longer necessary to do maintaining-trips. The lock is free of maintenance. The fleet can stay in the garage. That saves resources and fuel and reduces the CO2-emissions." pylocx locking devices do not require a battery as the energy is derived from the transponder
Successful concepts through synergy
There was another challenge for Lock Your World to take on: because the fuel cells of Knürr / Emerson are all of resistance class 4, the locking system has to be of that class, too.
"Only because of the good and productive cooperation with the team of Knürr / Emerson, we were able to develop a lock that meets all requirements and has resistance class 4."
"And because one wants to show this successful cooperation, pylocx will be on Germany-tour together with Knürr / Emerson."
"We will introduce our systems together on the PMR Mobil a Road Show of the Verband Professioneller Mobilfunk e. V.. We start on June 7th in Nürnberg, then visit Hannover on June 8th and finally will go to Dortmund on June 9th."
Giving security with successful concept - something one can expect from a locking system as well as from its creator.
