UNION’s keyPRIMETM reversible key cylinder platform has been installed at the University of Essex’s new student accommodation, providing assured key control for the university and security for undergraduates. The new accommodation, named The Copse, consists of 643 new single ensuite rooms and studios across two accommodation blocks: The Oaks and The Poplars.
UNION worked with main contractor Bouygues to identify the best platform to help meet the university’s needs for these two buildings. After careful consideration, Bouygues selected UNION keyPRIMETM due to the brand’s extensive experience in master keying, how cost-effective the solution was, and the longevity of the product’s patent.
