IEC have launched the TRIMEC surface mount electric lock ES700 / 7000.  The TRIMEC ES700 / 7000 has been specifically designed to address applications which require safe exit (releasing under side load) while maintaining high physical security and unobtrusive appearance. Historically many applications have either used magnetic locks which release when power is removed, but which offer far less physical security, or higher security locks which jam under side load pressure.  The TRIMEC surface mount electric lock, sometimes known as a hook lock, offers the best of both worlds... Side load operation - operates and releases freely with over 0.5 tonne side loadHigh physical security - over 1 tonne holding force, impact tested 500jSleek appearance - low profile, protruding only 40 mm into door headroom Other features include door position monitor, deadlock anti-tamper, self latching without power, vertical or horizontal mount, multi voltage.

These mortice mounted magnets can be mounted in either wooden or metal door frames to provide an elegant, discrete yet robust security solution. Ideal for sliding-door applications, these locks have been designed so that they can be mounted flush with the door edge and frame. A monitored option is available, providing feedback that the lock has been activated and has not been breached.

The compact-sized ACL200/200M cabinet lock from the Alpro Hardware Division of IEC Limited is designed to be fitted in display cases, cabinets and lockers, with either swing or sliding doors requiring electronic control where keys are not an option. The modern design enables the lock to be fitted vertically or horizontally, whilst receiving the strike plate from the front, side or slide entry position.
