The Public Safety & Security Summit takes place in Doha, Qatar on the 22nd -23rd of June
The eagerly awaited Public Safety and Security Summit is hosting an array of leading international and regional security experts in Doha this week.

Among the high-profile speakers at the initiative being held on June 22nd - 23rd are Chris Eaton, Head of Security for FIFA; Stephen Cooper OBE, Head of Security for the Olympic Delivery Authority and Wayne Harris, HSE and Security Director for Qatar Project Management.

Qatar plans to spend an estimated US$100 billion over the next five years on infrastructure projects, including roads and a new rail network. Another US$900 million will be invested by 2013 in hospitality development - to cater for the demands of a rising population and the growing influx of tourists.

The awarding of the 2022 FIFA World Cup has placed a greater urgency on such projects, as the nation prepares to host the world's greatest football tournament.

Through a format of keynote presentations, interactive panel discussions and workshops, the two-day platform aims to investigate and provide solutions to the many challenges involved in such large-scale advancement.

It is organised by leading business information company naseba. "This summit gathers key regional industry decision makers looking to acquire the latest technology and learn from the best international practices - ensuring a safer and secure environment for the public and critical assets. Qatar will expand drastically in the coming years, and with that expansion comes the responsibility to guarantee a safe living." commented naseba Managing Director, Fabien Faure.

More than 100 representatives from Government authorities and private organisations will be participating, including: Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ashghal, Qatar Railways and Qatar Gas.
