Milestone Systems, the world market leader for open platform IP video management software, is buttressing its phenomenal growth in the USA by hiring new managers in its Americas subsidiary
Demand for IP video surveillance solutions is growing fast worldwide, with projections for double-digit annual growth in the security industry over the coming years. In the USA particularly, Homeland Security has heightened the focus and support in this area, shoring up security initiatives nationwide. Simultaneously in evidence is the convergence of IT technology with the traditional security market to provide the benefits of networked solutions - precisely where Milestone stands out with a core offering in its open IP platform for integrating the security systems and devices.
Milestone Systems is an international organization with headquarters in Denmark, and Eric Fullerton is the President of the Americas subsidiary, Milestone Systems Inc. He has been masterminding the subsidiary's outstanding growth for three years running. As sales continue to grow exponentially, top professionals are being hired to support this progress and build the channel with new initiatives.
Mark Wilson is the new Channel Marketing Manager handling channel activities and events in the Americas. Wilson comes to Milestone from Intel, bringing significant experience in the disciplines of marketing to the IT industry. Originally from England, he has worked in Denmark, Holland and the USA for many years.
Tim Palmquist has joined Milestone as the Territory Manager for the central region of the USA. Palmquist has been working with Milestone software products for more than three years as the key IP anchorperson at ISG Technology, Inc., a Cisco Systems Integrator covering the Midwest states. In November 2004, he had a group of professionals trained and certified in Milestone's XProtect Enterprise product, which helped propel ISG into one of the most important IP security resellers in the mid-central USA. Palmquist brings with him invaluable knowledge about partner and customer needs, and the competitive marketplace. He has a proven track record of closing high profile deals.
Manuel Nylen comes on board as Milestone's new Territory Manger for the Eastern region of the USA. He is returning to the security industry where he earlier helped Axis Communications develop their network camera business in the American market, demonstrating the ability to build highly efficient reseller channels in the emerging IP video market. Since then, Nylen has run his own retail business in Connecticut with great success, using Milestone software in his store together with Axis cameras.
Lawrence De Guzman is transferring from Milestone headquarters in Copenhagen to the US, where he will be Territory Manager for the Western region. De Guzman has helped to develop new corporate initiatives out of Denmark over the past year, working with channel development, partner programs, and events. Previously, he has also worked for Axis, managing the sales in APAC for nine years.
"These strong individuals will play a key role in continuing Milestone Systems' quest for market and thought leadership in the open platform IP video industry," states Eric Fullerton. He further divulges that he expects to hire a Field Solutions Engineer soon, located in the Eastern region, which also has experience with Milestone products. "He will be able to improve our efforts in addressing presales issues, running trials for major projects, and dealing with security consultants and F-1000 companies."
The full Americas team will be meeting at the US headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, the first week of January for a strategic kick-off of the 2007 sales activities.
