 Paxton Access, Net2 plus
Paxton Access to showcase Net2 plus and Net2 nano at IFSEC 2009
Released to the market in April, these eagerly awaited additions to the Net2 range provide even more flexibility when specifying or installing an access control system.

Net plus and Net2 nano have been designed to extend the possibilities of Net2, Paxton Access' networked access control system.

Net2 plus is a new control unit for the Net2 access control system. It has an on-board RJ45 socket to connect to a TCP/IP network in the same way as any other IP device, removing the need for a separate piece of hardware. This diverse control unit can also be used as a TCP/IP to RS485 converter for when it is not possible to get a network point exactly where you want it. While the current specification of Net2 plus is the same as the other Net2 control units, it is likely to be increased in the future. Using Net2 plus means your client's investment is future proofed. As Net2 plus develops, existing sites will be able to take advantage of its increased functionality.

Net2 nano is a wireless control unit for the Net2 access control system. Net2 nano removes the need for hardwiring between door controllers and a PC by replacing a wired connection with a wireless one. Simply connect a Net2Air USB bridge to the Net2 server PC and it will pick up and communicate with the Net2 nano control units in range. A limit of 10 Net2 nano control units per Ethernet or USB bridge and a maximum of 200 Net2 nano control units per site is recommended.

Paxton Access will be demonstrating both of these fantastic new products, on their stand at IFSEC.
