Mr Lucas Lee was Overseas Sales & Marketing Director for company's professional security division |
Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd, the company responsible for promoting and supporting Samsung Techwin professional and consumer security equipment and solutions across Europe, Russia and CIS, has appointed Mr. Lucas Lee as its new Managing Director.
With a career spanning nearly 20 years within Samsung Techwin, Mr. Lee has headed up the overseas sales and marketing activities of the company's digital camera division and has spent time living in the UK, Germany and France, as well as Korea. Directly prior to his appointment as Managing Director, Mr Lee was Overseas Sales & Marketing Director for Samsung Techwin's professional security division. Based in Korea, he was responsible for developing sales growth both in Europe and the Americas.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Lee, who will be based at the European HQ in Chertsey, UK said: "I am very happy to be heading up Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd at such an important time in the company's development. We have a great team, an exciting product range and have enjoyed massive growth over the past two years. There is, however, still much to do as we continue to work towards our goal of becoming the number one security solutions provider".
Asked about his immediate plans for the company, Mr. Lee added: "This year will see a focus on developing our IP & solutions capabilities which will give our customers enhanced value and benefits. I want us to be a true market driven company. As such we need to ensure that we address the demands of our customers and this means that we need to invest in strengthening our organisation further."
"The European market is complex and the growth in popularity of IP & Network technology and integrated security solutions brings many challenges. We will therefore be taking more ownership of product development for our market and one of the first things we will do is create a European testing facility to ensure compatibility and quality of the solutions that we deploy. We will also continue with our development of ‘Smart' security solutions for the consumer market."
