APT Security Systems to showcase its wide range of security solutions at IFSEC 2010
APT Security Systems is a specialist in high-security installations for high-risk sites

APT Security Systems - part of the APT Controls Group - is this year returning to IFSEC to showcase a wide range of security solutions, central to which will be a new range of modular street furniture that has been designed and engineered with inherent security properties.
The crash-rated cycle stand, for example, can withstand the impact of a 7.5 tonne vehicle striking it (at different angles) at 40mph making it an excellent anti-terror product. It has been designed in-house by APT engineers and, and apart from being a cycle stand, it can also be used as the framework for planters or seating, depending on the need and the environment in which it is set.

"In developing this product we wanted to re-examine the purpose of street furniture," General Manager Chris Rowlands explains. "Of course it has to be aesthetically pleasing, but what is missing are products that have a practical use with security qualities such that they are able to prevent a ram-raid style attack."

Also on show will be examples of its crash-rated series of Bollards, which was extended last year with the launch of the APT30A - a new fast acting automatic raising bollard that can withstand the impact of a 7.5 tonne vehicle hitting at 30mph.

APT Security Systems is a specialist in high-security installations for high-risk sites, supplying everything from manual parking barriers to highly automated, maximum security access control systems. Active members of the PAS 68 steering committee and founding members of the newly formed PSSA, APT continues to remain at the forefront of crash rated product development.
