| Linear showcased DMC iPlay at ISC West which will upgrade digital music world |
Linear announced the new DMC1 iPlay iPod Dock MP3 & CD Player digital entertainment accessory for the DMC1 and DMC3-4 Intercom/Music Systems. The DMC1 iPlay makes sharing digital music and audio content throughout the entire home easy and convenient, expanding the functionality of Linear intercoms beyond AM/FM radio.
The DMC iPlay was showcased at Linear's exhibit at ISC West, booth 20086, as well as at the SIA New Product Showcase, booth 10074. Added to an existing Linear Intercom, or used in conjunction with a Linear DMC3-4 to retrofit most NuTone OEM intercoms, the new DMC1 iPlay further personalises the user's audio experience, explains Todd Hokunson, Vice President of Sales for Linear Electronic Systems. "Our philosophy is to give people the most functionality possible from their audio products," he says. "The DMC1 iPlay gives people more choices than ever in terms of digital music and audio sources."
Linear, the premier name in intercom systems, and the pioneer of adding music to intercoms has done it again: The DMC1 iPlay connects to, and will charge all portable digital music sources, including Apple iPod , iPhone , MP3 players, and smart phones, plus CD and MP3 format discs, transforming any Linear DMC1 and DMC3-4 System into a digital music and entertainment hub.
Fully compliant and licensed by Apple, the DMC1 iPlay works seamlessly with iPhones and iPods, including the iPod Classic, iPod Mini, iPod Nano and iPod Touch, through the 30-pin iPod dock. The DMC1 iPlay also plays back music from smart phones and all MP3 devices utilising a 3.5mm audio input jack. An integrated power-only USB-A port can be used to charge the digital audio device. Finally, its single-slot CD player supports CD/CD-R/CD-RW and MP3 formats.
With over 320 million iPhones/smart phones, 600 million iPods/MP3 players and 700 billion CDs sold worldwide, the DMC1 iPlay supports all digital music source for now and the future.
