The Information Destruction event aims at providing insight into what is topical in the world of information destruction |
The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) is hosting its second annual Information Destruction conference and exhibition, aimed at sharing best practice amongst suppliers and service providers within the information destruction industry. The event will take place on the 8th June, and will be essential for keeping up to speed with the key developments in the industry.
With continuous legislative changes impacting the way sensitive information is handled and companies facing hefty fines - as well as negative repercussions on customer confidence - as a result of data breaches, effective information destruction is being increasingly highlighted as an essential requirement for businesses. With this in mind, the BSIA is offering professionals working in the industry the chance to share best practice by attending its unique conference and exhibition.
2010's inaugural event proved extremely successful, with delegates treated to informative presentations from organisations such as Cambridge Professional Academy, SCA Recycling UK Ltd, Statius Management Services and KPMG LLP, on a range of topics including mergers and acquisitions, marketing and strategy and recycling for profit.
Russell Harris, Chairman of the BSIA's Information Destruction Section, comments: "This year the event promises to bring even more of an insight into what is topical in the world of information destruction. Presenters will include the Information Commissioner's Office Lead Policy Officer - David Reynolds - David Crook - Managing Director of Arjowiggins Graphic - speaking about closed loop recycling and the sustainability aspect of the business, and Martin Hutchins - Director of the Cambridge Professional Academy - tackling specialist sales training. The event provides a perfect platform for industry suppliers to exhibit their products and services and engage with their target customer base."
The event will take place on 8th June at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, and the BSIA has secured sponsorship from two leading suppliers.
