ISS Expo will offer a comprehensive education programme focused on integrated security solutions |
Attendees from across the professional security world will be given an exclusive presentation by IMS Research's Analyst, Ewan Lamont, based on the latest findings from IMS' in-depth investigation of sector-specific integrated security solutions.
Ewan has led a team of researchers who have spent more than a year analysing the buying habits of a range of organisations looking for professional security solutions. He will also talk about the changing nature of the threats that end-users are preparing for in several key markets including retail, financial services and critical infrastructure.
IMP Events' directors, Clive Ellings and Graeme Howe, will also speak specifically about their ambitions for the Integrated Security Solutions show (or ISS Expo) which will be open on 3-4 October 2012.
More than 40 senior representatives are expected to attend from the professional security media, camera manufacturers, storage and display technologies manufacturers, access control, building management systems providers, station management systems providers as well as Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) system providers, systems integration firms, manned guarding service providers and security consultancy firms.
The ISS Expo itself aims to attract more than 120 exhibitors and over 2,500 senior security end-user decision-makers in its first year. Already 12 organisations have reserved or contracted an exhibition stand, and another 27 organisations have registered for the Launch. ISS Expo is targeting senior security decision-makers in the retail, banking, utilities and major public sector institutions such as schools, hospitals and local authorities.
The event will offer a comprehensive education programme including free seminars, and a conference targeting senior decision-makers which will focus on strategic security planning issues. The exhibition and conference will offer senior buyers an unrivalled ‘one stop shop' for enhancing their security strategies during this highly focused two day event in London.
Graeme Howe, event director for ISS Expo, explained the launch of the new event: "The focus on integrated security systems comes at a time when ease-of-use and integration is becoming a key driver for the growth of the professional security world. The work of technical standards bodies like ONVIF, the PSIA and the HDcctv Alliance, have made it much easier to integrate security products like surveillance cameras, digital and network video recorders and video management systems to create security systems cost effectively.
"The growth of the PSIM market and demand for integration with access control, intruder alarm, fire, intercom as well as Building and Station Management Systems, shows the direction of travel. The market is now moving beyond a pure focus on component sales and product functionality towards creating customised security solutions addressing pre-identified security threats. Now is the right time to showcase manufacturers and systems integrators for the benefit of a growing group of public and private sector end-users, integrators and consultants looking for these capabilities."
