ForeScout Technologies, a provider of agentless cyber security, has announced the appointment of James Beer to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Beer currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of McKesson Corporation, which is ranked fifth on the Fortune 500 and is the largest U.S. healthcare services and information technology company. Prior to joining McKesson, Beer served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Symantec Corp. and as the Chief Financial Officer of AMR Corp. and American Airlines.

With this appointment, the ForeScout Board of Directors now consists of Hezy Yeshurun, ForeScout Chairman and Co-founder; David Dewalt, ForeScout Vice-Chairman and former CEO of FireEye and McAfee; Michael DeCesare, ForeScout President and CEO; Richard Anton, Partner at Amadeus Capital Partners; T. Kent Elliot, former President and CEO of Vienna Systems; Theresia Gouw, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Aspect Ventures; Mark Jensen, Former Managing Partner of Venture Capital Services at Deloitte; Rami Kalish, Managing General Partner and co-founder of Pitango; Enrique Salem, Managing Director of Bain Capital Ventures and former CEO of Symantec Corp., and James Beer, Executive Vice President and CFO of McKesson Corporation.
Beer currently sits on the Board of Celesio AG, a leading European pharmaceutical distributor and retailer, and is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Economic Advisory Council. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College, London University, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
