Identiv announced that it will demonstrate its FICAM government solution during Identiv’s Government Office Open House on November 3, 2016 at Identiv Federal Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. Identiv’s Government Office Open House will provide an opportunity for government customers and partners to see Identiv’s end-to-end Federal Identity, Credential, and Access Management (FICAM) solution in action while touring the newly remodelled Identiv Federal Headquarters and learning from industry experts.

Addressing physical access control systems

Identiv’s Hirsch government FICAM solution has been developed to address an industry-wide problem of how to implement FICAM simply and with optimal performance. In today’s physical access world, existing FICAM solutions are expensive, slow, and increasingly difficult to set up. Identiv’s conceptual approach to FICAM and the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 201 Topology Categories addresses customers’ current Physical Access Control System (PACS) Infrastructure, Validation System, and Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Reader. It is faster and less expensive than the competition.

Live demonstrations at the open house

At the open house, Identiv will present live demonstrations of existing Hirsch platform installations and hardware (M8/Mx/MATCH/Readers), detailing new hardware, software, and prices for Identiv's Hirsch FICAM solution, and highlighting the path from existing installations to FICAM compliancy, including the speed and ease of reusing existing hardware and cabling, upgrading to SNIB3, flexibly transitioning readers, and upgrading software with optional PSG assistance.

Industry expert speaker

During the event, Lars R. Suneborn, CSCIP-G, CSEIP, Director, Training Programs, Smart Card Alliance will present an industry expert speaker session. Before joining the Smart Card Alliance, during his 30+ year career in the security industry, Mr. Suneborn has served in various capacities with Hirsch, Oberthur Technologies, and has become recognised as a PACS subject matter leader. Suneborn is a frequent speaker and an active member of the SCA ACC. He is guiding U.S. agencies in their efforts to achieve HSPD-12/FICAM compliance.
