The ninth edition of Secutech Vietnam has opened its doors and makes its debut at Friendship Cultural Palace, Hanoi until 24 September 2016. The relocation to Hanoi from Ho Chi Minh City is expected to introduce international suppliers into the safety and security market in Northern Vietnam, where user demand for integrated solutions for homeland security, fire & safety and smart home continues to escalate. Over 10,000 professionals are expected to be in attendance during the 4-day show.
Largest-ever Secutech
The annual industry event has been renowned as an effective mix of world-class brands, innovative product launches, insightful industry forums as well as invaluable networking opportunities. In this edition, the show spans over 7,500 sqm of exhibition area to house more than 250 suppliers from 18 countries and regions, recording an approximate 80% increase in the number of exhibitors (2015: 110 exhibiting companies from 12 countries/regions). Some of the most exciting events to occur during the 2016 show include a series of product presentations from well-established international brands and domestic enterprises, such as Dahua Technology, Hikvision Digital Technology, HI SHARP Electronics, HOCHIKI, KTN, Merit LILIN, Phuc Binh, Rapidrop, Silver Sea, Takumi Safety, Techpro, Vantech and Western Digital.

In addition to the brand showcases, four themed zones are established to assist guests in navigating the fair. They are the Security, Fire & Safety, Smart Home, and Electric & Automation zones. Besides, pavilions from Korea and Taiwan as well as the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Pavilion are set to present their latest advancements that serve the local market well.
55th anniversary of the General Department of Fire Prevention & Rescue
Not only does Secutech Vietnam connect suppliers and buyers throughout the region to stimulate trade, but also serves as a pivotal platform to help participants in envisioning and exploring the evolving market landscape. The show organisers have crafted a complementary programme to help industry players fully unlock the abundant business potential.
Within the show’s concurrent event programme, one of the most anticipated events this year is the Fire & Safety Seminar, which also marks the 55th anniversary of the General Department of Fire Prevention & Rescue and 15th anniversary of Fire Prevention Day. Collaborating with the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Fire and Rescue Police Department, this special event highlights global security trends, as well as current challenges and situations within the Fire & Safety Industry in Vietnam. Topics to be discussed this year will focus on the areas of global security trends, solutions, and applications for industrial factories and high-rise buildings.
Another highlight is the Global Digital Security & Solutions Forum (GDSF) Vietnam. The one-day GDSF Vietnam will be held tomorrow (22 September) focusing on Trend-setting Solutions in the Upcoming Security World. Prominent speakers will share insights on hot topics such as future surveillance storage solutions, intelligent CCTV systems with video analysis and integrated HD surveillance for industrial zones.
