Senstar, the manufacturer of perimeter intrusion detection systems (PIDS), announces FiberPatrol for buried perimeter detection applications. Using a buried fibre optic cable and a centrally-located sensor unit, FiberPatrol provides covert detection of intruders, vehicles, and tunnelling for up to 72 km (45 mi) per processor.
