City of Wolverhampton Council has bid for £20 million from the UK Government’s Levelling Up Fund Round 2, in order to help deliver phase one of its ambitious Green Innovation Corridor.
The UK Government announced in February 2022 that Wolverhampton and Sheffield would be the first of 20 cities to benefit from part of £1.5 billion of Levelling Up funding for new infrastructure to be developed on brownfield land, in order to boost housing and jobs.
