This mobile-compatible MIFARE DESFire reader, in addition to conventional MIFARE tags, can also transact Smartphone credentials over Bluetooth. This reader readily transacts with Idesco ID mobile app, but developing your own mobile access app for it is also an available option. Idesco ID app seamlessly responds to any of this reader’s three assignable security levels: 1. hands-free access (reading distance from a few inches to 30 ft from the door), 2. door is selected in the app, 3. phone’s own security lock must be released to access door. Like other Idesco readers, 8 CD 2.0 MI is available in several housing options with or without pin pad, many of which are vandal-proof and suitable for outdoor siting.
