The MICROgarde entry level range of networkable access control products give many of the benefits of a bigger system, without the need for a big budget. All controllers feature distributed intelligence (with a battery backup), meaning the controller operates and makes decisions even when communication to the host PC is lost. Should this happen, events are stored within the controller until communication is restored and this is uploaded with no loss of data.
