All Cotag readers can read both active (long-range) and passive (proximity) Cotag cards and tags‚ and both types of cards/tags can be mixed in the same system to provide ultimate convenience and cost-efficiency.

The access control is locally made by each Dual Reader Controller, which each controls up to 2 readers for 1 or 2 doors. The AKN4100-CP software is able to manage up to 500 persons. It provides also up to 12 programmable time schedules and up to 19 programmable holidays. The AKN4100-CP can connect up to 8 dual reader controller in the network.
